Emotionally Focused Therapy for High-Conflict Couples
Based in the revolutionary science of attachment theory and evidence-based emotionally focused therapy (EFT), Jennine Estes Powell will provide an effective, research-based road map for helping high-conflict couples break free from painful and destructive habits—and will help attendees uncover the root cause of conflicts that you will likely encounter in therapy sessions, both with individuals and with couples. She will provide simple strategies for creating an emotionally secure environment, as well as tips for managing triggers, de-escalating arguments, and cultivating a real and lasting connection. Jennine Estes Powell will focus on tangible tools and tips for what to do in the moment when things can escalate in a therapy session with high-conflict couples, and will also address 'self of the therapist' themes and how to cultivate a healing environment in therapy sessions.
